But according to Holstatt, it was not he who was the traitor, but their former master Arazaad. Holstatt says that Master Arazaad intended to hand Terrun Calibre over to the Black Mage in the interest of self-preservation in the sight of the approaching tide of darkness. Holstatt claims that when he tried to convince Arazaad of the error of his ways, his master attacked him, and he was forced to end Arazaad's life. While you are having a difficult time swallowing such an outlandish tale, Ishura doesn't seem so certain...
